Harry Potter Headcanon 24: LOUIS went to Beauxbaton; also, being part-Veela, was easily able to charm men when he danced.

No I don’t like Bill/Fleur but yes I have headcanon for LOUIS. No I don’t know how that works. No I’m not implying they even had him. Just enjoy the Veela boy okay?

Harry Potter Headcanon 20: [sorta. wand notes i guess.]

fred - 13 1/4”  ll  willow ll phoenix feather ll predominately unyielding

while that is the length of the replicas or w/e, it’s 13, but it’s shy of truly actually being that number. willow being associated with guiding the dead, witchcraft, and the afterlife. it is also used as protection from evil spirits but reversely willow trees are believed to be sinister and uproot themselves to stalk travelers. it’s the celtic wand in the same month as his birthday, but later than it, and i headcanon fred as the younger twin so i guess that works but really i just fucked up and was probably-dyscalculic when i read the chart. phoenix feather is just one of ollivander’s 3 cores he uses and the one probably most fitted to fred out of the three. it is capable of the greatest range of magic, but can take a long time to show it, has initiative, and can act of its own accord. i realize now that ron’s second wand had willow but i hope it still makes sense for fred to have it too. i mean there’s only so many of the more popular/most used woods but yeah um oops ugh. it just felt like fred would have a rather typical wand in terms of type of wood and core, whereas george’s is more unique and probably not even from ollivanders. his wand is probably, for the most part, not as read to change owners, but it is changeable, like how fred’s mind is pretty solid but he is not impossible of seeing viewpoints and making logical changes in his outlooks on things. it is able enough, however, to change owners in that both twins’ wands are probably okay with one another despite not actually being brother wands. while fred’s wand is certainly no match core and wood wise for george, i am sure he’d be able to do sufficient enough magic with it should a circumstance arise where he’d have to be using his brother’s wand instead. making fred’s wand just enough nice to realize that in some situations a short alliance can be necessary. his and is also much harder (and prickly have you seen that pinecone oh my god) and certainly not at all bendy. It is suited to strict power, and is excellent for d.a.d.a. along with tackling and creating more difficult spells safely.

george - 14” ll liana vine ll  niffler hair ll somewhat pliant

again the length of the replica of his wand. i like though that it’s just a nice even number and has no fraction in it, seems fitting. and it’s further from the 13 than his twin’s. liana vine grows to create helpful pathways for animals but they can also compete with the forest for resources and nutrients and be a bit of a nuisance. his specific liana is monkey ladder vine. they can hold up many trees and provide support during a storm, but if the liana itself is snapped that can mean the downfall of the trees it was supporting. i also just went looking for something different from him to set his wood apart from anyone elses’ cause rowling does list a looot, but none quite fit i don’t think for him. niffler hair isn’t from ollivander, george might have had a second hand wand, but one that certainly ‘fit’ him. chose him. with non conventional materials. nifflers are excellent treasure finders, loyal, and can be made pets but are destructive ones (as the hunt for things) and can only be kept by those trained to handle them. the flexibility of his wand is decent, it is not as flexible as a typical witch’s wand might be, but for a wizard his is definitely very pliant to reflect that his mind is always seeing many different perceptions of something at once and how he is very empathetic to others, even if he doesn’t particularly like said person. His wand is lighter, and its slightly longer length denotes his more developed personality than his twin; Of course only slightly since they share so much in common. it is a somewhat weaker wand, but excels in many subjects like transfiguration and charms while also being able to create intricate and effective spells.

bill - [i don’t effing know it yet] ll elder ll dittany stalk ll surprisingly resilient

i am just started to think of what to give him um i was thinking elder as the wood. obviously it’s punny and symbolic of him being the eldest child in the family, but also it correlates to his birthday on the celtic year. it’s the strongest of the wand woods, and the rarest. the rarity fitting his hipster trend setting ridiculous self, but he is a competent wizard, being a cursebreaker and it takes ‘remarkable’ wizards to possess a wand made of elder. they are tricky to master, but i think it would fit him since he is so studious. dittany stalk was one of the three cores ollivander’s father had used, the cores he used had less magical properties to give the wands. i think that would counter the strength of the elder wood and make his wand relatively typical in terms of strength. uh i liked dittany because it seems to be rare, and also because essence of dittany was used on ron’s splinched arm and yeah um ron/bill okay. i like to think ollivander still had many many (or at least some) wands left over that his father had made. so bill’s wand is kind of old, again fitting i suppose. it also sort of goes with its much much simpler design in comparison to most wands, it looks like it was barely carved. most either are very detailed, or at least very precise, and his is just kinda there but i like it. this wand doesn’t leave an owner easily, if at all, once it founds its match. one can take it, but it would hardly work efficiently for them. it does not react back with force like some wands may when handled by the wrong person, but simply just doesn’t work a fraction as powerfully as it could. this wand respects an owner with a brain that can calculate. it is best suited to arithmancy. it is a wand that takes much memorization of its reactions when used, but to someone who can do just that it is extremely reliant. a good wand for someone who while thinks before they acts, does know how to defend themselves should their action prove disastrous.
